Chilliwack parents of school-aged kids interested in the district’s integrated arts and technology stream can join virtual townhalls to learn more this Tuesday and next.

The Zoom call meetings to get more information about the arts and tech stream at three schools in Chilliwack are Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. and Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The Chilliwack School District provides the specialized integrated arts and technology programming for students in Kindergarten-to-12 at three sites:

• FG Leary Fine Art Elementary (K - 5);

• AD Rundle Middle School (6 - 8);

• Imagine High Integrated Arts & Technology Secondary School (9 - 12).

An integrated arts and technology approach uses the B.C. curriculum in a manner that encourages curiosity, open-mindedness, and a willingness to think “outside the box.”

If your child is creative, likes to learn by doing, and has a passion or strong interest in the arts or technology, it is recommended you plan to attend one of the virtual townhalls.

The meetings will give parents a chance to hear about the programming, meet the principals, and ask questions.
