The Chilliwack Agriculture Tour is celebrating 20 years by showcasing some agricultural innovation in Chilliwack.

Everyone is invited to follow along as the tour is once again virtual due to the pandemic, for the second straight year.

“We are going to be featuring vertical farming,” Ag Tour chair Steve Saccomanno, explained at the outset of the 2021 video from Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation, CEPCO.

First stop on the 2021 ag tour is Quanto TechSolutions Industries, where lettuce and other crops are being grown under LED lights, on stacked vertical shelves. It opens the door to year-round growing.

“We invite you to follow CEPCO’s social media channels on Instagram so that you can ‘visit’ each tour stop with us in the coming weeks,” according to the announcement, as the tour kicked off September 24, 2021.

It’s a great way to learn about what’s going on agriculture in Chilliwack, say organizers with CEPCO.
