Three prolific offenders involved in the Chilliwack drug trade face new criminal charges after a violent crime spree in mid-September.
Jeffery Aubie, 44, Chelsey Rae Loranger, 26, and Josh Alex Herrling, 33, face numerous charges after an alleged kidnapping and assault.
Chilliwack RCMP report the investigation stems from a report made on Sept. 15 about of the abduction and assault of a person a week prior to the report. This was followed by a series of assaults and threats toward a second victim over the previous five days.
Evidence gathered by investigators connected an address and three suspects to the allegation.
On the morning of Sept. 17, the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team (ERT) supported by the Chilliwack RCMP Serious Crime Unit (SCU) and the Lower Mainland District Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS) executed a search warrant of a residence in the 9400-block of Robson Street.
Aubie and Loranger were in the residence at the time and taken into custody. Herrling was arrested on Sept. 18.
Aubie and Loranger are each charged with forcible confinement, assault and assault with a weapon, while Aubie faces additional charges of kidnapping and utter threats to cause bodily harm against a person.
Herrling is charged with assault and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
The two men remain in custody with Herrling next due in court Sept. 30, Aubie and Loranger on Oct. 1.
“The alleged abduction and assaults were targeted incidents in which both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries,” according to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail.
All three individuals have extensive criminal records. Aubie in particular has one dating back more than two decades, with several cases still before the courts.

He has an drug trafficking charge from Aug. 15, 2018 with a court appearance also on Oct. 1.
Then he has a three-day trial starting June 1, 2020 on three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Later that same month, Aubie and Loranger go to trial June 11 on nine counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and two firearms charges from July 26, 2017.
