Warm temperatures saw records falling in Chilliwack this week.
Chilliwack got added to the list of record-breaking weather towns in B.C. Tuesday when the mercury hit a maximum of 18 balmy degrees Celsius.
"Wow," said Roger Pannett, volunteer weather observer for Environment Canada, in his report. "Tropical air and sunshine. Amazing!"
The previous max record for Nov. 8 was 17.2 C set in 1905.
The all time November max in Chilliwack was 21.1 on Nov. 1 1954.
Nov. 8 was also notable for a record high mean temperature of 13.5, a respectable seven degrees above normal. Previous high mean 11.5 in 1989.
Then on Wednesday, Nov. 9, the fourth high temp record of the month was broken with a record high minimum of 12.5, more than nine degrees above normal.
"It was warmer than the average summer time high min of 12.1 C on August 7 and August 8."
Previous high minimum was 10.2 in 1989.
