Oct. 8, 2016 marked 100 years since Chilliwack's Piper James C. Richardson fell in the Battle of Somme during the First World War.

The Piper James C. Richardson Centennial Commemoration took place at the Chilliwack Museum on Oct. 8, 2016.

The day marked 100 years since the local hero fell in the Battle of Somme during the First World War, at the age of 20 years old.
