A Chilliwack man has been arrested for assaulting a woman in Agassiz, and released on condition of no contact with the victim.

The man was working on a roofing job at a business on Pioneer Ave., in downtown Agassiz on Wednesday. Witnesses have said that the man became angry when crew from a nearby film location were walking back and forth in his work area.

He grabbed a woman who was working for the film company and assaulted her. Agassiz RCMP say the man has a ‘no go’ order for Pioneer Ave., and a no contact order with the victim.

He was released and has a court date in Chilliwack in October. RCMP have spoken with several witnesses of the incident.
