Gordon Sagoo went missing on Baby Munday Peak near Chilliwack in August while hiking with a group. RCMP are re-issuing a plea to the hiking public to keep an eye out for clues while in the area.

Police have re-issued plea for the public's help in finding Gordon Sagoo, the hiker who went missing on Baby Munday Peak this summer.

On Monday, RCMP said they are reaching out to back country enthusiasts, hiking the trails in the Baby Munday Peak region, to remain alert for indicators that might provide clues to assist police with their search for Sagoo.

“RCMP are reminding hikers in the Baby Munday Peak region to remain watchful for Gordon,” says Cpl. Mike Rail, spokesperson for the UFVRD.

Gordon is described as a south Asian male, 180 cm (5’11) in height, athletic build, and when last seen was wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and a ball cap carrying a gray coloured back pack. He was last seen on Aug. 14, and reported missing the same day.

An exhaustive search followed, with Search and Rescue teams combing the area for a full week. His family also launched a private search that followed.

RCMP urge anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Gurdeep ‘Gordon’ Sagoo to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611.
