Chilliwack Search and Rescue is hosting an Open House on Saturday

It’s recruitment time for Chilliwack Search and Rescue.

The volunteer-based team is hosting an Open House on Saturday, February 27 at 10 a.m. in Chilliwack Council Chambers at City Hall.

Prospective applicants will watch a presentation, meet team members, check out some equipment and learn about what it takes to join the team.

"This is a great opportunity for candidates to ask questions and get a better understanding of the level of commitment essential to joining CSAR," according to a release.

The recruitment process will start immediately after the info session. We will be accepting applications on-line through our website from Feb. 27 to March 4.

Applicants must be at least 19 year to apply.

"While attendance at the open house is not mandatory, it generally does help us put a face to the name."

Chilliwack Search and Rescue Open House, Feb. 27, 10 a.m. Council Chambers, 8550 Young Rd.
