There were more evacuations near the Chilliwack River in Fraser Valley Regional District on Thursday afternoon as the rains returned for most of the day.

An evacuation order was issued for all trailers at 50801 OByrne Road in Electoral Area E of the Fraser Valley Regional District, but other addresses on that road had orders rescinded.

An evacuation order was also issued for all units at 1650 Columbia Valley Road in Electoral Area H.

In terms of City of Chilliwack areas the evacuation order for Yarrow and Majuba Hill was downgraded to an evacuation alert, except for nine properties, which are still under evacuation order.

A community sandbagging effort was underway in Yarrow overnight Thursday to keep floodwater at bay.
