One man was taken to hospital after the scooter he was driving collided with a station wagon on Young Road at Railway Avenue in Chilliwack at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The Chevy HHR was making a left turn from Railway Avenue onto Young Road when it collided with the scooter. It is unknown which direction the scooter was travelling.
The vehicle drove over the man pinning him underneath the car.
A tow truck driver from AJ Towing was nearby when the collision happened and rushed to help by using his vehicle to lift the station wagon off of the man.
The man was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Young Road was closed to both northbound and southbound traffic for a short period of time.
