Man dies after stumbling onto Chilliwack road

A 59-year-old Vancouver man is dead after stumbling into traffic early Sunday morning in the 45800 block of Yale Road in Chilliwack.

A 59-year-old Vancouver man is dead after stumbling into traffic early Sunday morning in the 45800 block of Yale Road.

Chilliwack RCMP say the man was struck by a southbound vehicle just before 1 a.m. He was rushed to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

An investigation as to why the man stumbled onto the road is underway. The BC Coroners Office has been contacted and may take conduct of this investigation, police say.
