It’s a way of celebrating Chilliwack’s farming history.
Farm equipment which is no longer in use is now being sought to take the spot in the centre button of the next roundabout on Prest Road.
“Do you have a retired plow, tractor or another piece of out-of-service farm equipment that you would like to see re-purposed?” reads the city notice online.

“In order to acknowledge and celebrate our community’s strong agricultural roots, the City of Chilliwack is seeking a piece of antiquated farm equipment to utilize in the centre of the Prest/Bailey roundabout.”
Despite some confusion by members of the public, it continues to be best engineering practices to install art or other visual obstructions in roundabouts to slow down drivers, and increase traffic safety, according to city staff.
Anyone interested in donating equipment, or to obtain details are asked to contact Carol Marleau, Manager of Leisure Development for the city at 604-793-2904
