Conservation Officer Service is asking the public for any information they may have on the illegal killing of a deer on Old Orchard Road in Chilliwack around Jan. 8.
“Sometime in the early morning of January 8 or late evening of January 7, a deer was killed and taken away in a vehicle in the area of Old Orchard Road near Chilliwack,” said Conservation Officer Sgt. Steve Jacobi.
The BCWF provides cash rewards to anyone who provides information leading to the conviction of a person for these crimes.
COS is also requesting the public’s assistance in solving the illegal killing of a bull elk, just off West Harrison Forest Service Road near Harrison Mills, B.C., sometime before December 1, 2014.
“There is no open season for elk in the area at any time of the year,” he said.
