Fraser Valley Meats has officially arrived in Abbotsford.
The longtime Chilliwack business opened its new doors at 33498 Bevan Ave. within the McCallum Centre shopping complex on Saturday (Aug. 5).
Fraser Valley Meats was established in Chilliwack back in 1969 and now employ 30 team members at the original store on Vedder Road.
They offer beef, pork, poultry, deli, prepared foods, bread and other grocery items. There is also a butcher on-site and there is no minimum or maximum amount of meat that a customer has to purchase. According to the establishment’s website, they also regularly work with community groups such as charities and sports teams to support them.
Fraser Valley Meats also did own and operate Abbotsford’s The Mad Butcher location, however that location has been closed with the arrival of the new Fraser Valley Meats. Staff at The Mad Butcher have been moved over to the new store.
Hours for the new Abbotsford location are: Monday to Saturday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
