Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak over at Chilliwack’s Heritage Village residential care home.

The outbreak was announced Oct. 17 after one resident and one staff member tested positive for the virus. Those two people self-isolated at home while Fraser Health, which owns and operates Heritage Village, put in place ‘enhanced control measures.’

Those included twice-a-day screening of staff and residents, increased cleaning and restriction of social visits in the affected area of the building.

Heritage Village was the site of a previous COVID outbreak in August, 2021.
