First responders once again visited Chilliwack General Hospital (CGH) Monday evening with lights flashing and sirens blaring to show support for health-care workers on the front lines of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Members of the Chilliwack RCMP, the Chilliwack Fire Department, BC Ambulance Services, BC Sheriff Service, and Griffin Security showed up on Hodgins Avenue with signs that said “Thank You” and “We Appreciate You.”
“We can’t tell you how much we appreciate the hard work that is being done now and always by our health care professionals in all the facilities throughout the city!” read a Tweet from the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP account.

This isn’t the first visit by first responders to CGH during the global pandemic. A video of Mounties in cruisers on Hodgins Avenue on March 26 was viewed more than 15,000 times.

The visit to CGH by first responders parallels a call out to residents of Chilliwack to thanks health-care workers by applauding and banging pots and pans on front porches every night at 7 p.m.
