Drug house bust reveals potential identity theft

RCMP found a lot when they raided a Margaret Avenue residence, including stolen identification.

Chilliwack RCMP made a significant bust last Thursday, taking down a drug house in the 46,000 block of Margaret Avenue.

Members of the RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit showed up, search warrant in hand, and found the doors barricaded. Once inside, they found crack cocaine, heroin and crystal meth. They also found items that would be used in drug trafficking.

RCMP recovered stolen property, including identification documents from people living in Chilliwack and the Lower Mainland. Those people are being contacted and warned that they may be potential victims of fraud and identity theft.

Two women, 23 and 49 years old, were arrested. Both are Chilliwack residents. They'll appear in Chilliwack court at a later date facing charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of stolen property.

Meanwhile, the City of Chilliwack has posted a no-occupancy notice on the residence.
