Carin Bondar was sworn in as the newest trustee on the Chilliwack Board of Education on Tuesday evening.

The event took just a few moments and was held via Zoom prior to the board’s regularly scheduled meeting. Trustee Barry Neufeld did not attend Bondar’s oath of office but was present at the following meeting.

Bondar won the byelection on Feb. 13 to replace Dan Coulter, who is now the Chilliwack MLA. She joins the board midway through the current term. The next general election will be held in the fall of 2022.
