Chilliwack RCMP are hoping to return a coin collection to its rightful owner after it was found during an investigation.

Police recovered the collection made up of United States and Canadian currency during an unrelated investigation in the 9200-block of Hazel Street in November. Some of the coins include American Eisenhower dollars minted in the 1970s.

To date, investigators have not identified the owner of the coins.

“We are reaching out to the public to assist us in returning the coins to the owner,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail.

Anyone with information can call the non-emergency number at 604-792-4611 and refer to file # 2021-49915, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
