A Chilliwack man is facing a charge of possession of child pornography.
The Serious Crime Unit of the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment has laid the charge against 43-year-old John Patrick Davy.
Under section 517 of the criminal code, a publication ban has been put in place, prohibiting the publishing of more details.
"Our first and foremost responsibility in an investigation of this nature is the safety and security of our community's youth," said Cpl. Len vanNieuwenhuizen. “Our investigation to date has found that no local youth's safety has been compromised. Our investigation into this matter is ongoing. It is incumbent on us to complete a thorough and extensive investigation to ensure the well being and protection of all young people.”
