One woman is in police custody following a short vehicle pursuit, then a foot pursuit on Yale Road near Woodbine Street in Chilliwack.

At around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, RCMP tried to pull over a vehicle with two people in it for dangerous driving. The driver of the white Mitsubishi did not pull over, and led RCMP on a short vehicle pursuit along Yale Road.

The vehicle then crashed into a house at the corner of Yale Road and Woodbine Street, and at least one of the suspects (a woman) inside the car got out and fled the scene on foot.

RCMP Police Dog Services were called to help. They were able to track the woman who was found in a nearby house on Clayton Avenue.
