The condition of the driver and any possible passengers was not made public by 5 p.m. Tuesday, but an air ambulance was called to the scene. An ambulance left the scene of the crash and arrived at the air ambulance landing zone on a field off Vedder Road near Petawawa Road before 11:30 a.m., but by 12:15 p.m. the air ambulance had not left.
Two witnesses at the scene, and one via social media who herself was at the scene, told The Chilliwack Progress that RCMP officers reported a male was killed in the incident, but it’s unclear the nature of the injuries that caused the fatality.
