Small wildfire ‘being held’ east of Agassiz

The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) has reported a wildfire between Hope and Agassiz.

The wildfire, currently being held at less than one hectare, was reported north of Wahleach Lake about halfway between Agassiz and Hope. The cause of the wildfire is unknown at this time.

This marks four wildfires that have been reported in the wider Agassiz-Harrison area since March. Two of these fires are active as of Monday afternoon.
