1925-2019 ~ REMEMBERING TINA ~ Tina [Hiebert] Goodell was born on Dec. 21, 1925 to Peter and Marie Hiebert in Laird, Sask.
With her parents and 4 siblings, she moved to Chilliwack in 1936, marrying Elmer Goodell in 1946. With their daughter, Nancy, they moved to the hay ranch in Westwold in 1958.
After working as a seamstress at Tranquille until retirement, she continued at the farm until they retired to Ashcroft and then to Kamloops. Tina passed away on April 4, 2019 at the Overland Extended Care at age 93.
Remembering Tina:- her smiles and laughter; her love of singing and playing guitar; her enjoyment of baking and gardening and of the many crafts she accomplished, especially embroidery, crocheting and knitting; for her love of and concern for all her family and friends and for the sharing of her thoughts and her baking at the visits, celebrations, reunions and picnics, which she so enjoyed. Her commitment to her faith was strong throughout her life. She also enjoyed her time with the White Cane Society.
Tina is fondly remembered by her daughter, Nancy Zwick and granddaughters, Laurie and Sharlene; also by her brother, Peter Hiebert [Lois Danyluk] and family of Shoreline,WA and sister, Nettie Boyd of Chilliwack: as well as the families of the late: John and Verona Hiebert [Vancouver], Mary and Jake Dueckman [Richmond] and Elizabeth and Ernie Sawatsky [Chilliwack]. Also the families of the Goodell Family and of friends and relatives in BC and across the country. Tina was predeceased by her husband, Elmer, grandson, Michael, parents and 4 siblings.
