Win unlimited kids' summer art classes

The Chilliwack Community Arts Council is having a contest for kids aged 3 to 12. The prize? Free art classes for the summer.

What do a toilet paper roll, a button, a cotton ball, string and some aluminum foil have in common?

They're all part of The Art Room Challenge, a contest hosted by the Chilliwack Community Arts Council where one winner will receive a summer of unlimited children's art classes.

The contest is open to kids aged 3-12, and all five items listed above must be used to create a work of art. Glue, tape, paint, stickers, and other items may be used for fastening and decoration.

To enter the contest, once the project is complete, snap a photo of it and post it to The Art Room's Facebook page at

The photo must include the child's first name only, and there must be a separate photo entry for each child participating (i.e. don't post one photo containing two entries).

The deadline to enter is midnight on Sunday, May 26. The draw will take place the following day and the winner will be notified via Facebook.

The winner will received a summer's worth of free art classes, within that child's age category, offered by the Chilliwack Community Arts Council.
