People taking lessons at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre will have their artwork on display as part of a show and sale this weekend.

The Art from the Heart student art sale runs Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28.

Each piece of artwork was made by students taking some of the many classes offered at the centre.

“Not only will these fantastic pieces be on display, but they will also be up for sale to the public, creating an incredible exhibit and place to find stunning pieces to decorate your home,” the Chilliwack Arts and Cultural Centre Society stated in a press release.

Every handcrafted item is a one-of-a-kind piece, plus people who buy the work will be supporting local artists.

“This exhibit will be a wonderful place to find gifts and see original art, as well as give you the perfect opportunity to explore some of the amazing art class opportunities available.”

The show will included pieces from painting, pottery, photography classes and more.

The Art from the Heart student art sale is Friday, April 26 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, April 28 from noon to 5 p.m. It will be in performance studios A and B, which are located across the lobby from the gallery at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

NOTE: This show and sale is not to be confused with the high school student art show ART33 which runs April 24 to May 25 in the O’Connor Group Art Gallery at the same venue.
