It’s time again for the semi-annual First Nations and Friends Comedy Night hosted by Fraser Valley Comedy at the Wellington Social House.

Steve McGowan will be headlining the First Nations and Friends Comedy Night

The event, which is sure to tickle funny bones, is emceed by Stó:lō comic Helena Paul, who returns again to help keep order of the gut-busting humour presented by well-known comics such as Steve McGowan, Colin Bird—a.k.a Chuck Cease—and Carl Turnbull. Wayne Aleis, Keller Reeves, Ed Konyha, and Beverly O’Neil will also be performing.

“This is a great lineup,” says Yo Trieu, founder of Fraser Valley Comedy. “It’s going to be super high energy, with a mixed group of people offering different perspectives.”

McGowan, who’s headlining the event, has opened for Pauly Shore in Vancouver, as well as for Steve Hytner, Tony Rock, and Michael Winslow from Police Academy, as well as Donell Rawlings from Chappelle’s Show. He was also a finalist in the 2014 People’s Champ Comedy Competition, and has been seen on the Slice Network and Global TV.

This is the fourth time for the event, which got its start in January 2017.

The show starts at 8:00 p.m., but the doors open at 7. It’s festival-style seating, so come early to secure your spot. Admission costs $20 at the door (cash or credit).
