The romantic resonance of the cello will fill the intimate Rotary Hall Studio Theatre in the Chilliwack Cultural Centre Sunday, March 11.

Renowned cellist Joel Stobbe accompanied by seven other talented cellists will treat guests to the sensual sounds of this enchanting string instrument.

As the principal cellist of the Vancouver Island Symphony, Joel is an active concert soloist and chamber musician and a delight to all who witness his incredible tone and talent.

The magical atmosphere created in this show will showcase this ensemble of cellists as they rotate playing the principal role though a repertoire of familiar classical music including pieces like Franz Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2 and Astor Piazzolla’s La Muerte del Angel.

Fire & Passion, the second performance in the new Rain Mountain Series presented in partnership between The Chilliwack Academy of Music and The Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society.
