Brewhalla beer and music festival coming to Chilliwack

Event features more than 30 B.C. craft breweries, cideries, wineries, distilleries, plus 4 musicians

A beer and music festival will be taking over an outdoor park in Chilliwack.

The inaugural Brewhalla Chilliwack, hosted by Red Door Events, is Saturday, Oct. 7 at Watson Glen Park.

“We at Brewhalla are so pumped to bring this event to Chilliwack,” said Red Door Events spokesperson Lies Reimer. “We have been well received by the community and can’t wait to bring all you craft beverage lovers together in the beautiful Glen Watson Park.”

The event, which runs from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., will welcome more than 30 B.C. craft breweries, cideries, wineries and distilleries, plus there’s a series of live music, food trucks, games, attractions and more.

Beverage makers include Barnside Brewing, Cinco Drink Co., Five Roads Brewing Co., Lake Bottom Cider, Mountainview Brewing, NorthPaw Brew Co., Sidekick Brewing, and Valley Commons.

The drink list will also include multiple non-alcoholic samples.

Music performances will be by Cameron Whitcomb, House of the Future, Michaela Slinger, and TriloJay.

Canadian Craft Spirits Association is a partner at the festival and it will showcase top-tier Canadian Craft Spirits.

“The Canadian Craft Spirits Association is excited to partner with Red Door Events, allowing attendees to sample premium B.C. and gold award-winning whisky, vodka, gin, and other craft spirits from across Canada,” said David Mossman, executive director of the Canadian Craft Spirits Association.

The inaugural Brewhalla Chilliwack is Saturday, Oct. 7 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Watson Glen Park.

Festival tickets are $45 and include admission to the festival, a four-ounce commemorative tasting glass, three tasting tokens, live music and access to more than 30 different local craft beverage makers.
