Volunteers converged on Harrison Bluffs Saturday (June 8) to clean up the popular rock climbing destination in advance of the summer season.
“This could be world-class area,” John Valecko, a climber with the Fraser Valley Climbing Group, said. “The rock is that good and there’s so much of it. We just need a little bit more clean up, a little bit more promotion and hopefully a few more people come out.”

The cliffs, located off Highway 9 near the entrance to Harrison Hot Springs, saw volunteers with shovels, axes and chain saws clearing the area around the rocks so interested climbers could use the area safely.
