The annual All About Fishing show returned to Chilliwack Heritage Park on the weekend after an absence last year.

Folks learned how to cast a fishing rod, tie a fly, and catch salmon and steelhead. Local fishing experts demonstrated different fishing techniques from basic to advanced.

There was info on where, when and how one can go fishing in the Fraser Valley, the conservation efforts which are being done by local watershed stewardship groups, plus a variety of activities for younger kids, including arts and crafts, fishing games and live fish viewing.

New this year was the Fraser Valley Salmon Society’s used fishing tackle sale.

The free, one-day event drew thousands of people.
