This year marks the 39th annual Terry Fox Run and officials are seeking a motivated, compassionate volunteer leader to continue the incredible legacy of the run in Chilliwack.
A local Terry Fox Run has been a going concern for the past 27 years, and now the event needs a fresh face to take on the role of volunteer organizer for Chilliwack.
“The Terry Fox Run has been with us in Chilliwack since 1992,” said Donna White, British Columbia and Yukon provincial director.

“An astounding $367,000 has been raised at the Chilliwack run for innovative cancer research.”
Responsibilities of the volunteer organizer include: recruiting committee members, confirming the route, promoting the run, and overseeing run day activities.
The time commitment ranges from two to four hours weekly in the months leading up to the National Run Day, which this year lands on Sunday, September 15, 2019.
Terry Fox inspired a veritable wave of change over the past 39 years.
With the tagline, “If you’ve given a dollar, you are part of the Marathon of Hope,” Fox taught folks that every single contribution matters.
