There will be night sky petunias, crisp herbs, impatiens, allysum and more.
And all of them have been lovingly cared for by the students at Sardis secondary school, in preparation for their annual Mother’s Day weekend plant sale. It takes place this Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school on Stevenson Road.
All of the choices are available to view on the school’s website, from baskets bursting with colours, to flats of 36 bedding plants. They have been growing impatiens, marigolds, allysum, lobelia, pansies, violas, petunias, and dianthus, in multiple varieties.
They are also selling 4” annuals, including geraniums, bacopa, verbena, coleus and more. The herbs and vegetables are 6 cm and 10 cm high, and include a wide range of tomato varieties.
Prices range from $1 for certain veggies, to $15/$20for a flat of flowers, to $25 and $30 for various planters and baskets.
