The Chilliwack Overdose Prevention Society is having a public event on Saturday where people can learn about its programs and services.
The society is hosting a fundraiser barbecue where folks can hear more about harm reduction and its peer program Breaking the Cycle.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22 at Chilliwack Alliance Church (8700 Young Rd.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the barbecue, they will be selling shirts, stickers and magnets with all proceeds going towards the new peer program.
There will also be Naloxone training on site.
