For the second year in a row, the annual Hike for Hospice fundraiser is going virtual.
And although people won’t be able to walk in a large group together this year, they will still be able to raise money for the Chilliwack Hospice Society… and even get dressed up.
The annual Hike for Hospice takes place on Saturday, June 5. Folks can sign up and either create a team or walk alone for the virtual event.
“Hit the road, the trail, the track, or the treadmill. We ask that whatever activity you partake in, is socially distanced, safe, and most of all fun,” said the Chilliwack Hospice Society.
People are encouraged to set a goal of raising $150+ and are also encouraged to get dressed up on the day of the event. There will be prizes (presented on June 30) for the best dressed team, top individual fundraiser, and top team fundraiser.
On June 5, participants can head to Sardis Park to collect their event swag and meet the hospice staff and volunteers. People are asked to stay in their vehicles. Designated parking spots will be provided and event staff will come to your vehicle.
