An historic farming competition returns to Chilliwack next weekend.

The 102nd annual Chilliwack Plowing Match will break sod at Greendale Acres on Saturday, April 6.

It’ll be an old-fashioned day on the farm that celebrates Chilliwack’s rich farming history where farmers compete using both horse-drawn plows and various tractor plows.

Among other things, the plowing match will include tractor wagon rides (weather dependent), a by-donation pancake breakfast to help raise funds for local non-profit Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society, games and more.

The 102nd annual Chilliwack Plowing Match is on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Greendale Acres is located at 41905 Yale Road West in Chilliwack.
