It was a day packed full of activities, entertainment, and patriotism as Chilliwack celebrated Canada’s sesquicentennial anniversary at Townsend Park on Saturday.
The morning activities saw thousands of families flock to arts-and-crafts tables, food trucks, market vendors, live demos and entertainment, and more to ring in Canada Day 150.
In the evening, an eclectic mix of musical entertainment took to the stage as the sun was setting on Chilliwack, and as the unveiling of the Canada 150 Mosaic Mural took place.
Minutes before 10 p.m., the park was filled with the sound of tens of thousands of Chilliwackians singing O Canada together, just before the countdown to the grand fireworks display.
