Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center (EWC) in Abbotsford has experienced many challenges these past few years, as have many organizations in our community.

Since 2020, the centre had been operating out of a trailer on their site. The original building was aging and had to be torn down, but the centre was determined to help local wildfire rehabilitate.

They kept working in the small trailer, but that time is now at an end.

The new building is ready to be occupied and there will be an open house and ribbon cutting to celebrate the milestone with the community.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30. But the entire weekend is an opportunity to see the new building and meet a few wildlife patients.

The grand opening hours will be noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center is located at 32508 Verdon Way in Abbotsford.
