Envision Financial has announced that Ruth Maccan has been selected to lead its new Garrison Village location, scheduled to open in June 2014. Maccan has devoted herself to meeting the needs of Envision Financial members for nearly 20 years—most recently as branch manager of the Chilliwack City branch. She brings a wealth of experience to her position as she has previously served as a mutual funds sales and support coach, investment advisor, estate planning officer and personal account manager.

“Ruth is well known and deeply respected in the community of Chilliwack and in our organization,” says Shelley Besse, president of Envision Financial. “She is a community advocate, an inspiring coach and a proven business leader. Her commitment to exceptional member service and to helping her team grow in their careers will be a great asset to the new members and staff we will welcome at Garrison Village.”

“I love living in Chilliwack and I am thrilled to continue to serve in my home community,” says Maccan. “This new location will give Chilliwack residents greater convenience and choice in banking, investment and insurance services. My passion is in creating memorable service experiences and to building strong relationships with our members, based on providing solutions and advice that are tailored to their unique financial situation.”

Maccan has already begun opening accounts for the new branch, currently working out of an office on the UFV campus in Chilliwack. She looks forward to the opening of the Garrison Village branch just a couple of months.

“Our Garrison Village location will be different from a traditional branch,” continues Maccan. “When a member walks into our new branch, the person who greets them will be able to serve all of their needs which will create a more positive service experience. We also recognize that our members value flexibility so all of our staff will be fully mobile with the ability to conduct business where it is most convenient for our members, whether that be in the branch, at their home or in their neighbourhood coffee shop.”

Maccan has been an active member of the Chilliwack community for more than 20 years and currently sits on the board of directors of both the Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation and the Chilliwack Hospital Health Care Foundation. She has also volunteered abroad with the Canadian Cooperative Association, travelling to Uganda in 2009 and 2010 to provide coaching support to several managers of small financial co operatives. In addition to her community involvements, Ruth appreciates the Chilliwack area’s natural outdoor beauty and especially loves to hike and camp with her family.
