The family of the late Norman Winston Chambers, wish to thank all their family & friends for the gifts of love, cards, flowers, meals and so many words of condolences and to those who went above and beyond to help us through this most difficult time.

A Celebration of his life was held on April 14.

Norm was predeceased by his parents William & Phyllis Chambers, sister Betty Johnson, and son Daniel Bitz. His loving & devoted family, wife Sharon, survives him. Daughter Stacey & Mike Marchand, son Michael & Amy Chambers and daughter-in-law Sherry Casey. His much loved grandchildren Tyler Maartman, Dylan, Landon & Kira Bitz, Olivia & Myles Marchand, Scott & Daniel Chambers. Great Granddaughters Luna Maartmann & Scarlette Bitz, sister Lorna MacLaren, and many nieces & nephews as well as dear friends in trucking Paul Dixon, Art Currie & Jack Fleming.

Norm grew up at the Edenbank Trading Co. General Store in Sardis. As a young many he was well known in the community for his exceptional talent in sports, particularly his soccer prowess and had even been drafted by the BC Lions. He spent many happy hours playing pool at the Elks Club with friends.

Norm devoted over 40 years to his trucking business, "Edenbank Trucking" in Chilliwack where he had a family of employees and cast a very large shadow of compassion, fairness and generosity. Everyone that knew him respected him within the industry.

Norm had a sharp wit and almost mischievous sense of humor. He loved his many animals - cats & dogs, watching his sports and being at the shop with his crew. He was absolutely devoted to his family, working without pause and giving his whole life to their welfare without a thought. Norm was also known for his decency and kindness to all. He was a towering figure to his family and to many others.

We will love him for always.

We will miss him forever!

What a guy!

What a great life he gave us!
