VIDEO: Find Me My Furever Home - Cleo

Meet Cleo, the affectionate, eight-month-old calico cat at the Chilliwack SPCA

Find Me My Furever Home is a weekly video featuring animals up for adoption at the Chilliwack SPCA. It is put together by The Progress in partnership with the Chilliwack SPCA.

Meet Cleo, an eight-month-old, spayed domestic shorthair calico cat.

She came into the Chilliwack SPCA with a linear foreign body, meaning she had a non-food item (in her case, a piece of string) lodged in her digestive tract.

She since has had surgery and is now up for adoption. Her SPCA ID number is 490240.

Branch manager Chloé MacBeth says Cleo is a very affectionate cat who would do well in any sort of home.

Fun fact: The traditional characteristics for calicos are linked to the X chromosome. Since females typically have two X chromosomes, 99.95 per cent of calicos are female.

If you’re interested in adopting Cleo or any other animal from the Chilliwack SPCA, call 604-823-6612. Hours are Friday to Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. You can also call to make an appointment outside of those hours.
