British Columbia is Canada’s second-largest producer of ornamental horticulture, and there are few places in the province where that’s more evident than on the fields around Chilliwack.

Tulip fields with millions of flowers brighten the landscape for motorists and cyclists making their way up and down the Fraser Valley.

If you’re a bloom lover, you’ll want to know about two festivals held in the Chilliwack area: The Chilliwack Tulip Festival and The Abbotsford Bloom Tulip Festival. (Check their websites to find out when the next festivals will bloom again. The Chilliwack festival is cancelled in 2020.)

These festivals are held on working farms, and the bloomery is stunning, with breath-taking colours and an amazing array of varieties!
