Abbotsford council has given permission for Chilliwack to use the JAMES wastewater treatment plant for the disposal of trucked liquid waste until the end of September.

Gravel removal in the Vedder River was last done in the summer of 2016. If provincial funding is approved, a joint study between the cities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack will look at flood risk and mitigation planning, including sediment removal.
