Wolfpack win home opener

Hard hitting roller derby action came to Chilliwack's Landing Sports Centre with the local NWO Wolfpack taking on a Prince George team.

The NWO Wolfpack hosted Prince George’s Rated PG Rollergirls Saturday night in their home opener.

Calling it ‘Malice in Derbyland,’ the teams clashed at the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre in a low scoring roller derby match.

The Wolfpack emerged victorious in the hard-hitting affair, winning 158-102.

They take their show to Hope for their next bout, a May 10 meeting with the Okanagan Shusway Roller Derby Association (OSRDA) All-Stars.

It will take place at the Hope Ice Arena and Community Centre, with doors swinging open at 5 p.m.

First whistle is 6 p.m.

Admission is by a minimum donation of $5 and children under 12 get in free.
