Abbotsford event raises awareness and money for mental health support

The first-ever Bigger Than Basketball event drew some of the top senior boys and girls players from Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Mission, all with the goal to raise awareness towards mental health.

The fundraiser was hosted at Robert Bateman Secondary on Friday, and was organized by the Abbotsford Basketball Association, Robert Bateman PE Leadership and Yale Leadership.

Organizers stated they hope to make this an annual event.
