A Valley Husker has secured a Player of the Week award from the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) after a solid week-two performance.

Kicker Ethan Homan got the Special Teams POW nod, recognizing his field-flipping efforts in a 36-15 Husker win over the Kamloops Broncos last Saturday night at Exhibition Stadium. Homan helped Chilliwack win the field position battle with eight booming punts good for 233 net yards.

Homan was also perfect on field goals, nailing three-pointers from 17 and 34 yards out.

He added four point-after-touchdown kicks, accounting for 10 of the 36 Husker points.

Okanagan Sun wide receiver Mike O’Shea earned his second BCFC Offensive POW honour in as many weeks, catching four passes for 94 yards and three touchdowns in a 62-6 win over Victoria’s Westshore Rebels.

Langley Rams defensive back Nathan Murray was the BCFC Defensive POW after intercepting two passes in a 22-1 win over the Vancouver Island Raiders.
