The 16 teams that will play for a AA senior girls basketball championship have been announced.

The GW Graham Grizzlies will hit the court at the Langley Events Centre next week, looking to finish what they started in 2018.

The Grizz finished second in last year’s tournament, falling in overtime to the South Kamloops Titans.

The two teams could be on a collision course once more.

South Kam is the third seed in this year’s tournament while GWG is the third seed. Langley Christian is sandwiched between them as the second seed.

The remainder of the field:

4th - Britannia (Vancouver)

5th - St. Thomas Aquinas (North Vancouver)

6th - Vernon

7th - Duchess Park (Prince George)

8th - Seycove (North Vancouver)

9th - Lambrick Park (Victoria)

10th - St. Thomas More (Burnaby)

11th - Whistler

12th - Smithers

13th - GP Vanier (Courtenay)

14th - Little Flower Academy (Vancouver)

15th - Westsyde (Kamloops)

16th - David Thompson (Invermere)

The tournament starts Feb. 27 and GW Graham will open at 4:45 p.m. versus Little Flower Academy.

A win in that game would see them moving on to face Vernon or Whistler and if the favourites play like favourites they would run into Langley Christian in their third game.

South Kamloops is on the opposite side of the bracket, and GWG wouldn’t see them until the final on March 2.
