UFV’s Craddock coaching Canadian U-17s

University of the Fraser Valley men's basketball coach Barnaby Craddock will coach Canadian stars in Lithuania.

Barnaby Craddock, head coach of the University of the Fraser Valley men’s basketball team, has been named to Canada’s 2012 U-17 men’s national coaching staff.

Craddock will help prepare the team for the FIBA U-17 World Championships, taking place June 29 to July 8 in Lithuania.

This marks the second straight summer that Craddock will work with a Canadian national program.

Last year he assisted UBC’s head coach, Kevin Hanson, with the CIS World University Games team that finished second in Shenzhen, China.

Craddock will assist McGill University head coach Dave DeAveiro with the 2012 Cadet squad.

This past season, Barnaby coached his Cascades to the program’s highest finish in their six year affiliation with the CIS.

UFV finished fourth in the CIS Final Eight tournament.
