UFV hoopsters host UC-Riverside Highlanders

The CIS University of Fraser Valley Cascades and NCAA UC-Riverside Highlanders will clash in a cross-border basketball friendly.

The University of the Fraser Valley men’s basketball team hosts the NCAA’s University of California-Riverside Highlanders in exhibition action Sept. 9.

The game will be preceded by the athletic department’s third annual tailgate party. The barbecue begins at 4:30 p.m. in parking lot 10, located between the UFV Bookstore/Baker House residence and the Envision Athletic Centre.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Cascades student-athletes and coaches.

They’ll also have a chance to win prizes from The Honda Way, Panago Pizza, the Abbotsford Heat, Travel Cuts, Pita Pit and many other sponsors.

The game starts 7 p.m. Tickets are $2 for the general public and all UFV students will be admitted free.
