The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds fell twice in lopsided losses the Vancouver NW Giants in Major Midget Hockey League action.

The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds took it on the chin in weekend Major Midget Hockey League action, losing twice to the Vancouver NW Giants (21-4-1).

The teams opened a home-and-home last Saturday night at the Burnaby Winter Club, with the Giants taking a 7-1 decision. Chilliwack native Dryden Downing scored the lone goal for the locals, with another Chilliwackian, Josh Matzek, taking the loss in net.
